I wonder what this function is for.

Is it normal, by activating this function "Control-> Mouse: Rubber Band", it is no longer possible to adjust the viewing limits?

I activated this function by mistake and looked for a long time why I could not adjust the viewing limits. Finally I found that this function was the cause.

Hi,

I just tested it and setting the Control > Rubber Band effect at limits didn't make any difference to how I set the initial limits.

When you first go to set limits the defaults are; Top: 90˚, Bottom: -90˚, Left: 360˚ and Right: 0˚which means you can move the panorama anywhere.

However as soon as you set some limits by either moving the panorama or typing in a degree, for example; Top: 45˚, Bottom: -45˚, Left: 90˚ and Right: -90˚ you can't increase those degrees by moving the panorama as the limits prohibit it, regardless of whether or not you have rubber banding checked.

You can decrease those degrees by moving the panorama within those limits and using the 'set' function but if you want to increase them you have to type into the actual text field.

So if you wanted to increase the Top: 45˚ to 60˚ you have to type it into the Top: text field, it's not the rubber banding stopping you setting the limits.

Does that make sense?

cheers,

Tony

Hi!
The rubber band effect only works in the player in the browser, hence it is in the HTML5 output panel.
It means that you can drag the panorama past the viewing limits slightly, and it then snaps back to the viewing limits.
For the main viewer in Pano2VR, in the Viewer Settings, you have an icon - 'Toggle Ignore Limits'.
When on, you can move the panorama without limits, and therefore set new viewing limits in any direction....

Regards,
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

I rarely, in fact only once, have used limits but I like the rubber band effect.

Didn't know about the icon (the little boom gate) that's cool.

So one way is to just type in your new setting the other is as Christoph said, toggle the limits on and off in the main viewer. Once you've done that move the pano to the limit position you want, the old settings will remain but the new ones will show next to the 'Set' button. When you get the position right just click 'set' on the limit you want to change and then toggle the limits back on in the main viewer.
