Hello There,

I tried the Tutorial of "Link and Align Video in Pano2VR" on Youtube with "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxWYDWxdD4k" this link. But there are lot of options you have mentioned in Settings of Pano2VR & PTGui are missing. Like "add position to file name" in Settings of Pano2VR. No "Link" option in Image Parameters in PTGui.. Also i find that the Video should be more descriptive & few screens are missing from tutorial.
Kindly guide regarding the same. I have taken Video Frame First & from same Position i have Shot the panorama. The part I want to Add in there is a running shower.

Kindly Help.

Thank You.

Hi,
I have already been down this road so thought I would share my solution.

1. Add position to file name - (after you have created the patch, lock the patch and leave it there in pano2vr. Then when you are adding the video, refer back to the patch and copy the settings to the pinned video settings. You may have to click on "List View" in pano2vr so that you can toggle back and forth between the patch and the video while copying the settings.

2. You will have to revert back to PTGui 10 in order to see the "link" dimension option. Also, you will have to revert to PTGui 10 so that you can set the patch image to rectilinear and the FOV as this option is no longer in the image parameters. There is a workaround, but it takes a lot longer to do and is much more complicated.

Once you revert back to PTGui 10 and use transfer tilt, pan and fov as I have stated in #1, it is all pretty simple.

Also, I have never had a perfect match when adding the live video to pano2vr. I have ALWAYS had to adjust the FOV to get the image to match up perfectly.

Good luck.

Hi Giys,
To display the pan, tilt and FoV settings in the file name of the patch you need to add a placeholder to the patch file name as found in the settings.
Under Files you will see Default Patch Name, if you add $c in there it will display the angles.
Example $d/patches/$n_$c_patch
If you hover over the blue information icon it tells you this.
And...
The devs are actively looking at a better way to do this.
Don't ask me any more as I don't have any information on it other than it is being revisited.
Regards,
Hopki
