Is anyone using a 2018 Dell XPS 15 with either the Radeon RX Vega M GL or NVidia GTX 1050-TI to create tours? I ask because I need to get a new computer, I want to go with a laptop and the XPS 15 can be ordered with an 8th gen i7 and a GTW 1050-TI, or the XPS 15 2-in-1 with the Radeon RX Vega M GL. I'd hate to get something that can't render a tour because of horsepower.

Thanks,

Bob

It is not so much the horse power is the new computers video card and its driver requirement.
Please search the video card driver and look for OpenGL 2.1.

Not sure about driver requirements for Pano2vr 6.x

Please read bottom of FAQ's https://ggnome.com/faq#faq-1803
Q. I get the error "OpenGL can not be initialized". What should I do?

A. Most likely your graphics card driver is too old. Pano2VR 5 requires OpenGL 2.1. Please download a new version from your graphics card vendors site.

Note: These drivers are not delivered via Windows Update!

Well, the 1050-TI support OpenGl version 4.6 and the assure me that it is backwards compatible. So I am hoping I don't regret my $2k investment at the end of the month when I have the cash to buy it.

FYI- I use a 2016 Dell XPS 15 9550 as my main computer, also use it to drive an external Dell 27" display. Have had no issues with anything 360 pano-wise, which is desireable because it is what I do for a living.

You might take a peek at which browsers use OpenGL or other Pano2vr driver set elements
