Hi guys,
is it possible to extract text passages from a website and implement them in a text block via iFrame?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Tony,
I'd love to - sorry for the vague input.
I made a virtual tour for a client that contains several hotspots with product information & pictures. Every time, my client updates the product information, he has to contact me to change the information in the pano. That is a bit tedious.
So my idea was to extract the product information directly from the website with iframes. I managed to display the whole page in the pop-up, but i just want the text - not the header, not the footer, nor images or anything else. Is there any way I could achieve that with iframes?
Would it be better if he set up sth. like a dummy-page with text only?
Hope I could clarify my thoughts and thanks again for your response!

Hi Max,
Thanks for the clarification. I've done something similar for one of my clients where they update a simple .html page/upload a photo and the change is reflected in the tour. This requires them to have access to the hosting environment so they can upload the changed page.
In this single pano tour all of the content in the hotspots can be updated in simple .html pages http://panos.expedition.photography/PON ... own-Bluff/
Here is the .html page that is loaded into the 'Cruise News' hotspot http://panos.expedition.photography/PON ... ws_en.html
Safari has a web clip option but I've had a play at implementing it but without much success. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25525?lo ... cale=en_US
Is your clients website managed by a Content Management System? If so you could probably create a couple of simple .html pages that would be updated when the main site is updated and use those simple .html pages in your virtual tour.
Something like SiteLeaf may be of interest https://www.siteleaf.com/
cheers,
Tony

Hi Tony,
thanks alot for your input and examples. Despite my slight inability to describe the problem, your suggestions were on point.
I had kind of like the same ideas, but they weren't feasible enough for that specific project.
--> We scrapped the idea of extracting text.
Instead, I embedded the iframe with a direct link to the suppliers product page. The solution isn't the best, but the client is happy and so am I.
Kind regards!
