Hey

I would like to learn how (whether it is possible) to create virtual tours using Pano2VR.
Ideally I would like to have a minimap of the house/park/city/place with dots showing where the panos were taken from, and it would be nice (but not necessary) if each dot showed a field of view arc that corresponds to the panorama's current rotation.

I already have panoramas and all the equipment necessary, its just the 'virtual tour' aspect i dont know how to do with Pano2VR yet.

Questions:
1- Is it possible to have a minimap?
2- Are there templates for this?
3- How?
4- If not with Pano2VR, can you suggest some other cheap program that does this quickly and easily? I googled and found a whole lot of crap out there, poorly written websites that have more marketing lingo than features, where its impossible to find out the price of the program and the provided examples dont work. Why would I want to buy a program if their website and example doesnt work? Maybe it only works in Internet Explorer, thats definitely not what I want. One website did provide a price - 999$. Not even funny. Making such a virtual tour in Adobe Flash is easy, I want a program that automates this task without me having to buy Adobe Flash, thats all. A quick click click to get those dots on a minimap and the pano next to them and thats it. I'm definitely not going to pay over 100$ for that.

Thanks!

ps. I would suggest that the webmaster take a look at all the links in the "Getting Help" section on the main website, some of them are dead. Also from what I understand, Pano2VR is now superior to Pano2QTVR, so it would be nice if they rerecorded some of the demos using Pano2VR.

I will be working on a flash application like this that takes output from pano2VR. I can keep you up to date on my progress. I will not be spending much time on it until I finish my immunology and physiology final exams this next Wednesday and Thursday.

I guess some good examples for what is possible with just Pano2VR are http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... =13&t=1107, http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... =13&t=1169 and http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... f=13&t=901. I plan a video tutorial for this but this will take while so I hope can find out the necessary steps with the help given in last post mentioned.
MfG, Thomas
