Hi hiv360,
For Android I transfer the output folder to the phone using Androids File Transfer App.

I then use one of the free File Manager app's to then locate and open the folder and the HTML page. The App I use is actually called File Manager.
Note: the first time you do this you are asked which app you want to use to open the HTML page, choose wisely as if you change your mind its a real pain to change it later.

Make sure you use a fullscreen button as unlike apple this works 8)
This is also good for cardboard projects too.

Hopki

Hi,
I have tested and have this working with a Nexus 9 and a Galaxy S7.
How have you structured your files, try making the output folder in the Root.

I don't know if this is still playing hiv360 ? ... but the error you have "Access to the file is denied" is a new feature in Android 6 ...
You have to give the app you are using permission to access the local storage. This is done in Settings -> Applications -> Application Manager -> Firefox (the app you want to grand access) -> Permissions -> Storage .... switch it to on ....

Took me some time to find that out =)

For what it is worth - For Samsung s7 and Android 6.0.1 Use this same process. I checked my:

BROSWERS
Firefox app and ALL items were turned on = Camera, Contacts, Location, Microphone and Storage.
All are a toggle On ->.

Google Chrome Browser = ALL ON->

Samsung Internet browser = ALL on except Contacts <-OFF

Samsung Internet browser for Gear VR = Location, Microphone and Storage ON->

I have followed all the steps and granted permissions on my phone but neither on windows nor android do the tours work. When I open the index.htlm file all I get is the skin and a black background... Also the nwjs window offline exe thing doesnt work on the pc... I feel that with pano2vr I have to battle my way through everything I want to do, its a bit frustrating. I would have expected an output function on the program... export for pc, mac, android... that would be great!! for next pano2vr update

Hi benmckaydesigns,
The NW-JS project is third party software and has had its problems with updates braking things.
This was one of the motivations behind our Package Player which work fine, just open up the player and drag in the output folder and it will open on the desktop.

As for the Cardboard output is was originally designed that you upload the files on a server then open it up in your browser.
But of course this does not work if you have no web access.

I found on Android using the Android file transfer app you could copy an output folder to the phone. Then using a free file manager app navigate to the HTML page and open it. This worked fine on a Galaxy S7 and a Nexus 9 tablet.
I see others are having problems doing this but in my experience it just worked.
Im not an Android user. That said I see there are others developing Apps that will work with Pano2VR, check out this post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10655&p=46918&hilit ... wer#p44111

The solution I would use for an iPad is use iBooks as this works very well, but not 360 video.
No real good offline solution for iPhone as yet.

To use the tours offline on an iPhone (or iPad) use GoodReader.
You can transfer the tour directory to the iPhone with iTunes.

Just install Goodreader app
Start iTunes
Goto apps and select the Goodreader app
You can drag the tour folder inside
Wait till it is completed
Now open Goodreader and start the tour with the index.html
The browser that starts is perfect without anoying browser bars as seen on android.

Just my two cents 😄

Yep have that already, but the experience is not good as the menu keeps opening.
Thats why I say no real good solution as yet, but it is a solution.

Hi Hopki,

What do you mean with the menu keeps opening ?
I use my iPhone 7 with VR glasses this way to show custmers our tours in VR, I have no issues with menus ?!?

I can also start the vr version directly with goodreader
Not the javascript dom errors that I get with android ....

Ah that menu ...
:D well don't (short) tab on the screen ... when holding your vinger a little bit longer when navigating, that menu won't pop up. And if your done watching, do tab shortly to be able to go back (this did not work in earlier versions, you had to completely close goodreader to switch tours)
