Ok....been fiddling with this for a while. I have the image popup working correctly now.....has a nice semi-transparent black background and what I would like to do is when the image pops up....also have the background blur....and when the image is clicked to return the background is sharp.

Any ideas how I can accomplish this?

Hi Steve,
Sorry no, you can add a rectangle with Alpha to create a screen tint.
This will hi light the popup.
As seen in this popup test.
Of course you can change the colour and alpha of the rectangle.

Hopki

hi,
I recently did this in other way for a client. Client needed to close textbox when viewer anywhere on screen. Your requirement is same as well. You just add a text box with huge dimensions and tinted color with low opacity. Just check attachment as reference. Just check width and height dimensions. You can create a textbox e.g. 5000 px wide and high and you are done :)

Hi SteveL58,

It's been a few years (just over three) and hopefully this will be an answer for your query.

I've been playing around with a method to blur the background when opening a hotspot, just like you want to do. Here's an example I'm posting hoping for some feedback on how it's working across platforms.

Popup with blurred background

Clicking on a hotspot opens an information window and the background blurs, closing the window removes the blur. The blurred image matches the current state of the panoramas pan/tilt/fov.

To achieve it I've used Direct Node Access, Variables, iFrames and CSS. If you are interested I can post a tutorial.

Cheers,

Tony
