You could try my tutorial "Using droplets to create 360˚ panoramas for Facebook Timeline, Google+ and Twitter" http://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/using-droplets-facebook and see how that goes. It comes with assets you can download.

Hi Tony,

Used your tutorial and droplets, thanks, do you have any tips for using this with existing tours though?

My flat images from PTgui don't have patches etc over the Nadir to cover the tripod, as this is added in Pano2VR.

Also tried using the Ggnome steps for creating an output that can be posted on Facebook, struggling when it's an existing project though it doesn't seem to like it.

Hi Ollie,

There is a video tutorial, that I was looking at the other day, called "Patching the Nadir" http://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/5/patches-extract/ that shows you how to automatically add Nadir patches using a droplet. I'll take a look and see if it can be added to the droplet in my tutorial.

When you say existing tours do you mean multinode tours or just single panoramas?

Hi Ollie,

As long as the index.html file has the correct Facebook metadata in the <head></head>, there is a Flash version and you are hosting on a Secure Server you should be fine.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your reply, after some more fiddling I managed to get it to work on an existing project just exporting another HTML5 set of files.

Hi Ollie,

That's great news. I'll be posting a tutorial early next week on embedding a 360˚ Pano2VR tour into a Twitter tweet, I'll post in the forum when it's done. The tutorial will contain a section for a droplet to create all the meta tags.

Here's a couple of samples tweets, https://twitter.com/tonyredhead/status/ ... 2718715905 and https://twitter.com/tonyredhead/status/ ... 3607616512

cheers,

Tony
