Here are two 3Dstereo examples from over one year ago when I used full resolution:
1. http://www.burger.si/DOGODKI/UTRINKI/Go ... start.html
2. http://www.burger.si/Karavanke/Zelenica/start.html

My 8 cores android smartphone can barely handle it but works fine with dual iphone and problems with with 10 smartphones and low budged android smartphones.

Here it is a mono version with implemented video with resolution of 7600x3600 with multilevels (automatic option): http://www.burger.si/Jame/PostojnskaJam ... tml#node21 ... still not very fluent

Here are two versions with 2880x1440 with multilevels

mono

1. http://www.burger.si/Canada/NewBrunswic ... /mono.html

stereo:

2. http://www.burger.si/Jame/SkocjanskeJam ... html#node1

both work fine (at least with devices I tried)

What it is my problem... my workflow and work is very intensive and I hardly manage to complete the present, actual projects so it is hard to me to going back and correcting and updating the past project , so I use the best it is or I figured out at the moment of completing the project and then I going forward, updating only the "core" projects.

I tried with the full resolution, as it was "mono" output and had following the instruction... just in case something changed with the beta version, BUT...as I predicted, the otput is with the lags: http://www.burger.si/Canada/NewBrunswic ... index.html , so , yes...at the moment 2880x1440 it the optimal (amen ?)

I'm trying to find a skin that would show cardboard otion while viewed on mobile platform - from above discussion it looks like it is not possible without
some html tricks... Maybe I could follow all neeeded steps but I simply dont understand that there is no basic skin that would work both on desktop
and give VR option for mobile. It is sucha basic thing in PTP and krpano ....

I cant believe that it seems to be impossible to find a default skin with Cardboard and Gyro option without
html scripting.

Hi Jann,
With Pano2VR for the moment you have separate outputs.
So make an HTML 5 output with your skin as normal.
Then make an output using the cardboard skin and cardboard template.
Iv added a project that iv just made and here is the link to the video I made while making the project.

Im using packaged skins so when I add the extra buttons I have to save the skins to the project file as they are write protected.
I hope it shows you that its not that difficult to do, you just need to know how.
Regards,
Hopki

I am running into some problems trying to do the same thing - ie. one VR and one normal panorama tour with a single set of tiles: The problem that I run into is that the panorama visibly reads as a cube-map when switching back from VR to normal. Any cue as to what might be causing this?
Cheers,
J

Hi,
Try this:
Make tour with setting Userdata and hotspots.
Add HTML5 output and add skin for normal view and publish.

Add second HTML5 output, it will say output-1.
Right button click and edit to just "output", and say yes use it.
This will put files from this output in the output folder.

Select the cardboard skin.
Select the HTML tab and change to the cardboard template and then set the file path by again right button clicking on the path and edit to: output/cardboard.html.

Select the Advanced tab, and change the file for the skin, change it from skin.js to cardboard.js.
Then while still in the Advanced tab change the XML file output to: output/cardboard.xml.

This will create one folder with one set of tiles but with two skin JS file and two XML files.

All you need to do now is add a button to each skin that will open the HTML page of the other.
Example in the standard output it will have a button with the action: mouse click, goto url, url cardboard.html.
And a button in the VR skin to open the index.html.
See this post to change between standard and cardboard outputs opening in the same node.

Hopki

That is exactly what I do. Now what happens is this: The first html 5 export finishes, it launches a browser window and all looks dandy (the non-cardboard version that is). Then it goes through the cardboard export and, again, opens a browser on finish. Again: looking all fine.

However, when I open the original index.html file and preview locally (or online, does not matter) it it looks like this:
Untitled-1.jpg
Untitled-1.jpg (1.55 MiB) Viewed 6359 times

The toggle between index.html and cardboard.html is all working - it is just that upon returning to 'normal' mode it displays the equirectangular images as cubemap. During export no files seem to get overwritten, so I have no clue what could be causing this. Any idea how to fix this? Running out of time on this one...

Hi,
Check to see if the multi resolution naming convention is the same for both normal and cardboard output as found under the advanced tab.
It looks as if one of the outputs is making a different set of tiles.

Yes, it is both set to the same naming convention (ie.: tiles/$y/cf_%c/l_%l/c_%x/tile_%y.jpg)

Hi,
Can you send me your support package as found under the help menu.
Make sure the skin is included.
The attached project works with no problems.
Have a look and see if you can see any differences.

Hopki
