Direct Node Access using Wordpress Plugin

Is there a way to utilize the Direct Node Access Feature using the wordpress cms plugin ?
I have tried several things...but can't directly access a node. I can do it outside of wordpress....but not from within using the [ggpkg id=1234]
Any ideas?
