lower quality on iPads than KRPano - what am I doing wrong?

Hello,
I've been using pano2vr for a while now and have been very happy with the results. That said, I've always thought the resolution on iPads was a little low. At first I thought this was a hardware issue, but when comparing my 360s with those produced with (sorry) krpano, I see quite a big difference in quality. As a result, I have downloaded a trial of krpano to test it out. Here's the same image produced using the two pieces of software:
Pano2vr: http://visual360.co.uk/beamish/shop.html
KrPano: http://www.visual360.co.uk/new_krpano_360/
On PCs / Macs image quality is pretty much identical. However, there is quite a big difference when viewed on iPads and Android.
I have uploaded screenshots of my html5 settings here: http://www.visual360.co.uk/pano2vr_settings.zip
Could anyone help out with this? I really do not want to change to another piece of software if it can be avoided...
Thanks in advance,
Nick
