Upgraded to release 5-3 and when I uploaded to http://jmbruce.biz/index.php/our-client ... quuet-hall the hotspot to the next node freezes up panning with the mouse however it works with the buttons. No forward on the hotspot to the next node. Should I back up to the previous release? Appears that the update does not like my server.

I have done a little more testing and it freezes up the minute you click on the hotspot to go to the next node, however it works on the machine that I created the tour in using Chrome the rest of the browsers on the machine do not work? So far it does not work on any of the other three machines that I have tried it on.

Hi Ike,

Yesterday I raised a topic which I think is about the same situation you encounter. I found out that transition effects aren't working correctly anymore. So I wonder, what happens if you disable transition effects in your project?

My topic: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10375

Cheers,

Dennis

You are spot on Dennis, thanks for the input, it solved my problem. I hope that the transition is fixed in the very near future.

I confirm the critical bug in Pano2VR 5 beta 3. If transitions are on (we waited so long for transition in HTML5!) the tour hangs on any hotspot.

I just wonder how the developers could release version with such obvious and CRITICAL bug?
There is no internal testing?

It's called negligence. Someone must get it in the neck.

I'm obliged to roll back to beta 2.

I found the bug that is causing this. It is the combination of the new asynchronous XML download + transitions. We will publish an update soon.

Yeah well, I share your feelings about rolling back Vitaly. But since I am a professional test consultant as well, I know how hard it is to avoid bug introductions. It takes a certain level of company maturaty combined with enough budget to have a full set of (automatic) regression tests available. I agree, this one is critical, but after all we're still in a beta.

Update: We were writing in parallel, good thing that an update is coming soon, Thomas. Thanks for picking it up that quick!

Pano2VR 5 beta3a is up, that should fix this bug.

We test a lot, but in this case the bug only happens, if the files are downloaded on a high latency connection, as it only shows when the XML file comes in too late, if you load it asynchronously. As we added the asynchronous loading only last week, and a local test server has not enough latency, this bug didn't show on our systems. I am sorry about that oversight.
