Possible to load external Jpeg into viewer at run-time?

Post by Toby » Tue Mar 11, 2008 6:49 pm

Is it possible to load an external Jpeg into the pano viewer, at run-time? Or do you always have to publish an SWF file based on the Jpeg?

You see, I'm looking for a Flash pano viewer to integrate into an existing website, and it'll have to load the panos as Jpegs, from a third-party server via a URL. Each Jpeg will be a cylindrical pano image. Its no use to me if I have to convert to SWF in advance - I need to load the Jpeg dynamically at run-time.

Thanks a lot for any help.

At the moment you need to convert the images into an SWF in advance.

Thanks for the reply. We're still probably going to use Pano2VR, as it seems to be the only solution that can be embedded into an AS2 SWF. The other options need AS3, which I can't use in this case... Cheers!
