Hi,

I can't get the Viewing Limits working.
Do the same as in V4.5.3
Check box Show Limits
Drag the image to the nadir.
Bottom = -68 > Set
The image jumps to the top.
Top = 90 / 1,2
Bottom 0,0 / -68

If I give Save the old 4.5.3 opens!

Pro 5 You probably already knew this. It is somewhat different than 4.5.3 in that the inset boxes along side the actual view port have been simplified. The set functions are now on the left side where you may edit the top, bottom, left and right. Mouse drag the image up to where you want the zenith set. Same for nadir.

Viewing parameters documentation can be found here:
http://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/5/viewing-para/

Your observed program behavior is repeatable ?

"Drag the image to the nadir.
Bottom = -68 > Set
The image jumps to the top.'
If I give Save the old 4.5.3 opens!

If it is repeatable... I would think this is not normal

I have passed this on to Hopki for help.

Hi,
Just checking, in the viewing parameters tab you select show viewing limits.
This then show the limits settings.
In the viewer look up as far as you want to go then click Set.
Then look down as far as you want then click Set.
Now do the same with left and right.

Hopki

Hi Dave and Martin,

I know already for 8 years how to set the bottom. :roll:
The bottom line :) here is that it is not the same as in 4.5 Pro.

The only way to set the bottom limit is to drag the image just to the nadir, read what's next to Bottom: - 90 = 68 and change -90 into -68 and NOT click Set, but save.
If I click Set, the Bottom is 0,0 and the image turns halfway the ceiling.

Hi Frans,
To check my understanding you select viewing limits then in the viewer drag the pano down to the required position using the bottom of the viewer as your reference point.
Now when you click the SET button the values jumps?

Im not seeing this but what I am seeing is if you click the SET button three times then odd things happen to the values.
Example I have placed a red circle patch at the bottom of the pano which I do not want to be seen.

I tilt the pano down just above the red circle. This gives me a bottom value of of -82.7 as seen in the right column. I click SET and the value is now seen under the Bottom value in the left column. However if I click the SET button again the values in the right column change to -35, the left column is still set correctly and a further third click then sets the bottom value to -35 in the left column.

Is this what you get?
Its not right and I will report this but want to make sure its what you are experiencing.
Of course I only ever click the SET button once so never saw this until now, but thanks for your input. :D

Hopki

Hi Martin,

Exactly, after Set, the value in Bottom is 0,0 and the figure next to it is -68,5.
The Reset Limits values for Bottom are -90,0 and the figute next to it -35,0 where Tilt=0.

What you experience after 3 clicks, I do it in once :D
