Jim,

Thanks for your post about integrating tours into FB. Is there a way to see an example of this in action? I mean, is it a full tour in Facebook that anyone with flash can click on and scroll around right in the feed? That would be pretty cool! A reason to do a tour in flash again...

Thanks,
Dean

How does this template and technique work with the new Pano2VR 5 beta? (I'm going to try it in a moment, but I'd still appreciate input and/or tips...)

Heres a tip, don't do it
Not yet anyway, there a few problems with the flash fallback player.
Which are, with transitions there is no zoom in effects just the fade.
Animation is an HTML5 only feature and as Facebook requires the Flash version this means you can not use it :?
However you can output the Animation mp4 video and post that

The TIP has the embed template if you need it.

Heh. Already did. And I see that the HTML5 version doesn't want to show in Facebook when I use my iPad. :?

Another issue is that the og:image line wasn't in my output at all, and also that the og:url and og:title lines weren't seen until I moved them to the top of the set of meta tags. It could be a glitch in the FB Object Debugger, but that's supposed to be identical to the 'real thing' – so I adjusted those things by hand until it stopped complaining. (It still occasionally threw up a note about not finding the image, but that seems to have settled down on its own. Weird.)

I love that I can turn an animation into a video, but I'd only use that when producing actual video content for editing into a larger project. As a pure replacement for an interactive panorama it's not to my taste.

I have tried it in Pano2VR 5 and it did not work.
As a work-around I created the same project again in 4.3, and uploaded the files to my server.
It opens fine in my browser.
I also can put it in the timeline of Facebook and it works, but after I publish and press the preview, the window goes blank.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Jürgen

Ok, maybe I give a bit more explanation about how my problem looks like....

Here is what my FB post looks like before posting. It works perfect.

After posting it, it still looks the same, but when I click on the arrow to run the pano, the window goes blank and nothing else happens.

When I click on the URL the pano opens in a separate tab.

I hope somebody can give me a suggestion.
Best regards,
Jürgen
