The latest World Wide Panorama event has just closed and here is my entry for Forgotten Places which I hope will make it in the final list:
Its a local abandoned Railway bridge that last saw a train in May 1968. As you can see I have also posted a photograph of how it looked in 1958, see how nature has taken over the place!

There is a link below the small viewer to the high resolution full screen version too if you want more detail. Or use the link here:

I had to use the timed delay and the remote control to take the photographs as the tripod was on top of a high wall, never done a 360 like this before.
I used the very excellent Pano2Vr software :D to create the final Flash movies. In fact I also used it to make the Bottom cube face.

Quite pleased with the results, What do you think?

Good wrok. Thanks for sharing it.

Can you help with advice on how to get the best results for 360 spherical panos? I currently use a Nikon D700, and I have a Nikon 14-24mm lens, 24-70mm lens, 105mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. What lens do you tend to use for your panos? I have been trying with the 14-24mm lens at 14mm, having to kake two passes plus a zenith and nadir shot. I found AutoPano Pro often has great difficulty patching in the zenith shot and sometimes the nadir. Especially where there is just sky or bland features. What is your advice to get those seemless images - you seemed to get a result OK?

I assume - to get the high level of zoom detail you have to be using a telephoto lens of some length and taking many component photos? Can you let me know your workflow - it would help? I aspire to create high quality panos like yours. I appreciate any help/advice you can offer.

I am a large format fine art printer and if I can help you in anyway let me know.

Hi, Glad you liked it.
You have better equipment than me so should be able to get better results than me!
I use a Nikon D70 which is only 6 MegaPixel compared with your 12 MegaPixel camera, I also use a Nodal Ninja adaptor same as you.
My lens for 360s is always the Nikor 10.5mm lens and I always use PtGui for stitching as its the best software by a long way. It gives great results everytime. Only need to patch a small Nadir.
No I don't use a telephoto lens to get the high detail, its just made from 7 photographs nothing more. With your higher resolution camera you should get something better than me.
For reference : The 7 images I input into Ptgui are 3008 x 2000 pixels each, PtGui makes an Equirectangle image which is around 8260 x 4130 pixels.

I can only assume your problem is the stiching software?, or how you are using it?
Try http://www.ptgui.com

Or perhaps you are not using Pano2Vr correctly?
Provide links to some of your work so we can see.
