I'm trying to create some transparent rollovers that will appear over a section of wall when the mouse moves over it.

Whats the best way going about doing this.

Do I need to create a additional transparent pano that sits over the main pano and alpha value is set to 100% when the mouse is over it?

Is it possible to create transparent panos?

Cheers

I found using transparent file format png 24's do work. .png8 and transparent .gif are not transparent and will appear solid background.

So by using a png file with transparency areas this will create transparent areas in your pano?

But you cannot set your pano to have a alpha value?

Thanks for the response. Just to get this straight in my head.

I can use transparency in PNG for hot spots but transparent areas within a PNG that is used as the Equirectangular image will not be rendered as transparent.

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit simple.

I was thinking about .png24 'splash loading' or controller buttons.

panoramas images no transparancy.
