Flash is already on its limits so I doubt that it can be much improved. Flash has no support for 3D Hardware or even 3D Graphics so this is just a hack to make this possible without the use of Shockwave/QuickTime.

hi!

i just try to understand: you say flash doesn't support 3D graphics, but softwares like swift3D exist and use 3D graphics.

Does the 3D hardware you mean is different from that one?

Does Flash 9 improve 3D results of Flash 8?

thanks fo explanations!

Ok, 3D graphics is just mathematics. You can do 3D graphics with everything that can calculate. I am talking about hardware acceleration where these mathematical operations are executed on special hardware. This would run much faster (like panos in Shockwave where this is supported). Unfortunately Flash supports only 2D drawing operations so I have to simulate the third dimension with some slower operations.
