Hi there,

Generally, how difficult is it to convert a standard Pano2VR tour to also output to a Google Street View? Are these two types of tours happy bedfellows within the same project, or is it recommended having two separate projects?

Secondly, say a standard virtual tour is a local pub with one panorama for each room. Would it need to be shot differently to work with Google Street View ? (E.g. more panoramas, closer together).

... the spins were in each room, distant from each other. However, whilst researching, I've seen comments saying each spin has to be around 1 meter apart - otherwise Google will not accept the tour. I think this point was also mentioned in another of the Pano2VR webinars.

Does each spin have to be around 1 meter apart? Because if so, it will increase the work and processing somewhat (especially with a DSLR setup).

Unfortunately, I still haven't found a definitive answer for this. When shooting a Google Virtual Tour for building interiors, is it necessary to shoot a pano every 1 meter? Or will Google allow uploads of tours, which contain panos much further apart (E.g. a pano for each room)?

Hi Marc,
Google always said 1 meter apart inside and 3 meters apart outside.
But this is when they had their own software and used image recognition, so it was important that the inside images were no further than 1 meter.
In the main 3 - 5 meters has been fine, in many testes even 10 meters are ok but I think 5 would be the limit.
Testing projects with 50 meters are also working without issue, but this is just a stress test and not recommended.
