Google Street View Place?

I have 6075 uploaded images in Pano2vr but in Google Street View my account indicated Level 8: 19,210 points and 3,807 images.

When uploading, do you have to have a Place assigned? I expect there are about 500 images still to be processed by Google and added (taken in the past few days) but not over 2000! I have checked Street View Browser in Pano2vr and have no errors?

Just as a quick update to let anyone else know. I added places to over 1000 past Google Street Tours that had none and bingo, the points have gone up and so has the level.

so, if you don't add places to Google Street view 360 images, Google don't count them and total them up for your points.

Hello all. I am struggling with defining a place for main streets that have housing developments backed up to them. One is a divided highway - I am submitting about 1000 panos for over a mile of coverage. But no addresses or POIs to name it.

Suggestions for a substitute official place?

Hi Tom,
You would "suggest" a place in Google Maps.
This has been done before by others but no idea about timescales and how long it took before Google added them, a couple of weeks if I remember correctly.

From Google:
Open Google Maps.
Search for a place or select it on the map
From the menu, select Suggest an edit.
Follow onscreen instructions to submit your feedback

Regards,

Thank you Hopki. I'll try that as a Local Guide. I may also try an address "nearby" but not necessarily on the street.

If I find a clean solution, I will post it.
