the link to the Local Guides Connect Forum doesnt work, I can also not find the thread in the forum. Can you help please?
You need to be a Google trusted photographer to see this forum, but Hopki already posted the content.
I am a trusted phootgrapher, but as mentioned, I´m also loggied in, but I haven´t the permission to open the link, nor can I find the thread in the forum

Hi,
Does this link work for you?
https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/S ... /news-svtp

Or this one:
https://www.localguidesconnect.com/

Interesting, a customers project that had one image that was maps rejected and place Unknown for all three images has now uploaded with the place listed.
In the Street View App I see links, but on in Maps just yet.

So I am seeing improvements!

Hopki

Officially Google say there will be an update on the 21st Jan.
Unofficially, a tour a customer sent in that always showed maps rejected, yesterday uploaded OK and today all the links are working!
So going in the right direction.

So should we delete the entire tour, wait an hour and re-publish to GSV?

Just tried a tour (18 panos) which didn´t work before and it is still NOT working.

The very same images of the tour are disapproved and are not coming over with the place attached while others in the tour do.

You cannot even delete the images in the GSV App, only way to get rid of them is via browser, so no positive signs at all.

Hi,
I have just got in from travelling most of the day.
I have just read, 7th update in the Local Guides Connect forum that Google are saying new uploads should now work and will look at already uploaded tours later.
That said I have already seen people saying it’s still not working.
☹️

Hi,
We have made a video showing a workaround with the current Maps Rejected issue with Street View.

Google Update:
Just a note to check-in here: as mentioned in the previous post, the teams are still evaluating the new auto-moderation. You should be seeing your publications for all new imagery submitted as of Jan 22.

The teams are targeting the reprocessing of all older, affected photos on Jan 28. We’ll keep you posted as this date is confirmed

Thanks for the helpful video!!!!!!!

Just one question, after the initial upload, do I have to delete the rejected panos before the manual upload? Otherwise they might be in there twice, right?

Google really sucks at the moment!

I tested my 18 image tour again with the following result:

- 18 images uploaded
- 10 working, 8 unknown
- deleted the 8 from GSV and exported them to images
- uploaded the 8 via Goolge Business Page
- 6 working and are able to link to the respective missing ones
- 2 not showing, even after redoing
- 2 showing in browser but either opening a wrong pano from the same tour or showing black

:? :? :?

Although the workaround is working quite well, there seems to be something very fishy!

Wondering if my elevator buttons will appear one day. For the moment I took the two in question out of the tour

Can’t say I have, very odd.
If you open a new project and download it, does it look ok in Pano2VR?

Did you happen to edit the equirectangular in Photoshop using the 3D tools? I've seen it happen when saving from Photoshop. It's to do with the metadata 'PosePitchDegree' which is the Pitch, measured in degrees, for the center of the image.

Here's a sample, similar to yours https://www.facebook.com/redthreesixty/ ... =3&theater

I've got a post on my website that might help you fix the image, check it out at https://tonyredhead.com/adobe/fix-rotat ... -panoramas

This additional metadata doesn't affect panoramas opened in desktop viewers such as FSPViewer or PTGui Viewer. If you level in Pano2VR on export the PosePitchDegree should be set to 0˚

You can also use Exif Fixer as it has a Reset PosePitchDegrees option http://panoramaphotographer.com/software/exiffixer/

cheers,

Tony

Hi, no this image has never seen Photoshop from the inside :-)

When I download it fron GSV to Pano2VR, it looks as weird. Will delete and update the tour, hope this solves the issue....
