Upload to GSV

Hi,

I bought pano2vr pro to simplify the upload to gsv. But my first two tours are not working properly after a few days. Some panoramas are not connected. The previous tours I have uploaded through the app had less problems. I hope the upload works at some point as well as with the app.

Hi Tobias,
I have been away but I can tell you that Pano2VR 6.1 beta 3b was working fine.
If you're not using 6.1 beta 3b then please delete the tour, wait for a few hours then upload again with 6.1 beta 3b.
If you are using 6.1 beta 3b, then this is something new.
Regards,
Hopki

Yesterday I updated to beta 3b but the upload was done with 6.0.6.
I will try it with beta 3b!

*edit 30.09. 06:15*
Tours again uploaded with beta 3b

*edit 30.09. 16:00*
The small tour with 3 panoramas are working perfect after a few hours.
The second tour ( 15 panoramas ) with levels are not connected completely. I think I have to wait...

*edit 30.09 21:30*
And now the tour are offline:

Hi,
How long after you deleted the tour did you upload with 6.1 beta 3b?
Again you should leave it a while, I normally give it a good few hours if not a day for larger tours.
This gives Google time to purge the old tour from all its servers.

The next upload I will do with 6.1.0 stable.

Yesterday 17:00 h I uploaded 3 tours with 6.1.0 stable:

1. tour with 2 panoramas
2. tour with 3 panoramas
3. tour with 6 panoramas

And now 01.10. 10:00 no pano tour is connected. And the tab 360° Ansicht are not visible. I saw it yesterday evening and early this morning but now it is deleted.

Hi Tobias,
Sadly not a Pano2VR problem or we would do something about it.
Pano2VR uploads your panoramas with metadata for links and place etc.
Then google adds the panoramas/tour to maps.
I can ask the developers to see if there are any known issues but this has been ongoing for a while.
But oddly not with all accounts.
As an example, my tour took 3 full days to show and link.
If your still getting issues after say 5 days then e-mail in.
With Google nothing is quick!

Hopki

Hi all,

2 questions:

1.
I read here about new tours, but I'd like to know if updating an existing street view tour works fine too?
I read that when having some issues, a possible solution is to delete tour and reupload it. In my case, I don't want to delete it because I don't want to lose the visits count. I am 5 days waiting and still don't see my changes (several changes: delete some panorama, added others, and delete some connections).

2.
Pano to VR have to possibility to link 2 panoramas in 1 direction only (from panorama 1 to 2, but not 2 to 1). Does it work in street view too?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,
Firstly if your updating panoramas after some photo editing then you will need to remove the uploaded panorama first then upload the new one.
Think of it as you can not save over the top of an existing panorama.

Question 2, I am sorry I don't understand, but in Pano2VR you can add hotspot in any node and link to any other.
So as you have put it, 1 to 2, and 2 back to 1.
If you have set this up in the Tour Map then yes you will see this in Street View.

Just to recap, you do not add hotspots in the viewer, you add the panoramas to a map or geo-located floorplan in the Tour Map.
You then set the heading/direction.
Then use manual or Auto linking to make the links between the nodes.

If you do not add hotspot this way, the Street View upload will not link up correctly, if at all.
