Image Quality after Upload

I've just added a new tour and there seem to be two issues that I haven't noticed before.
1. The image quality is reduced. I've checked this by using Pano2VR's download feature. The images I'm getting back are just 500KB, whereas those added to the tour are between 11 - 18 MB. For comparison I downloaded an old tour in the same way and got 9-10 MB pictures back. The size of the images downloaded from the new tour seems to be super-downsized and would explain the deterioration in image quality.
Is this image reduction a fault, a feature or Pano2VR or of Street View?
2. Two of my images show in the thumbnails as grey out with grey hazard triangles.
I've tried the upload a couple of times.
I've checked my output settings and all are still at default.
