autoplay prevents clicking on Drupal edit overlay functions

When the Drupal edit overlay is activated on a pano page set to auto play, it becomes difficult to edit and configure those Drupal functions. Those parts of the Drupal interface that are on-top of the pano become impossible to click on or select.

Other than disabling auto play or going to a non pano page to initiate edits, is there anyway around this?
