Importing into Flash 8

Hi all.
I have recently created a site using Flash and AS2.
I found this fab VRTour software to use on the site but I am now having problems importing it into my site swf.
From what I can tell the Flash 9 & 10 versions are exported using AS3 which has scuppered my plans somewhat as I dont know AS3 at all and my site is built in AS2.
I have exported a Flash 8 version of the pano2VR file, but when I call it into the site (it's intended target is a movie clip container) it just come in full size of the stage and doesn't do anything. The control panel loads but nothing moves when activated.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I obviously dont want to have to re-write the site so any suggestions will be gratefully received!
