Hey all,

Suppose I already have a panorama, say 10000 wide x 3000 high in pixels, and I want this converted into a Quicktime .mov file, BUT I do not want any tilting etc, nor any "bending" of the horizon etc. In other words; I just want a .mov that displays my image left to right and vice versa, and I want the top line of pixels and bottom line of pixels of the original image to be shown from the start when opening the .mov (so that's what I mean with no tilting). No zooming either.

What would be the settings to create it then? (pan, tilt, Fov)

I just can't seem to get it straight. I'm very new to all this...

Another thing is that my pano's are rarely 360°, so how to tell Pano2QTVR how much degrees they take?

Thanks a lot,

J.

The trick you may looking for is the option "no 3D distortion" if you are creating a cylindrical panorama. Pano2QTVR takes the difference between pan min and pan max as the horizontal field of view. You maybe also find this tutorial helpful.

Try Spinner Scripts from Kathy Wheeler. The link is quite old but still alive:
