Special characters for hotspot description ?

Post by Juraj Spaldon » Sun Mar 16, 2008 4:33 pm

I have created virtual tour of a church in both flash and QT. The flash version displays the names of hotspots correctly. But is it possible to display it correctly in QT mov files as well? I have tried many different ways, but none worked correctly.

Is it possible?

My tour is here : http://www.3dpanoramy.sk/kalvaria_01_qt.html
and http://www.3dpanoramy.sk/kalvaria_01_flash.html

The string routines in Pano2QTVR are using the local 8 bit encoding and may have problems with conversion to the Apple encoding. Those encodings also is depending on the QuickTime version you have installed. Pano2VR uses UTF16 encoding for all string processing and is completely independent of the installed QuickTime version so in theory this should work more robust.
