trigger video playback from within info pop up

hi there,
i'm going back and forth in using different lightbox plugs as well as frameworks (uikit is great) for a project. i'm at a point where i'm trying out to use an iframe with a pano2vr project as lightbox for highres imagery (check, works). however i can't get a flat video to play as part of this gallery nor can i figure out how to trigger the pano2vr media player (and a reference to the video file) from within markup. probably some javascript code would do?
