I just created two new versions of the Metal Skin using the new features in beta 7 and fixing the issue in beta 7 described here.

Hi Thomas, i like the metal fade in one, the buttons i mean, but is it poss someone can do me
one with the buttons you have there, and a normal loading rectangle with percent, not the round loadin meter,
as not too keen on that type one and at mo not too good at editing or creating my own yet, but need one for a job,
any help would be good thanks.

Please download Pano2VR 2.0 (it's out!!! ;)) and then just open the skin with "edit" in the Flash properties, then mark the meter in the editor window, hit delete on the keyboard and then select "Elements - Add default loading bar".

Save the skin with a new name and you are done!

Hi Thomas !
I love the fade in metal skin mentioned in this thread and your Pano2VR software just keeps getting better !
I've been tweaking the skin in the skin editor and managed to change the dial loading bar etc to one i prefer, but would now like to change the actual buttons.
Can you post the original buttons as gif or tif so i can change the colour of the rollover effect from red and green to match my own website - black and white ?
Also, when i try clicking on the toggle full screen button, nothing happens ! I've tried it on my Mac with Firefox, Safari and also on a PC - how do i go full screen with my Flash 9 panos ?
Please help !
Many thanks for some ground breaking software ! ;o)

You can find the images in the original metal skin but I have added them to this post as a zip archive. For the full screen button please set within your HTML file the "allowFullscreen" option to true. You will find several post regarding this issue in this forum.

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for this skin; I've modified it and now I think it's just about perfect for the Irish archaeology site I'm developing.

I would if I might please ask a favor: I like the slight "toggle scale" effect when I apply it to the toolbar on the skin. However even a .15 increase in scale demonstrates pixelisation since the original files you supplied are only 32x32. See:
http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/wp-con ... crew1.html

If you have them available, would you please allow the download of the buttons in a somewhat larger size, perhaps 64x64? A native larger "mouse over" scale would allow me to "toggle scale" without introducing the artifacts.

Thank you for all you do.

That is very a interesting use of what looks like a non fisheye lens. It appears that the camera is stationed very low... but has a very wide angle to get both ground and sky

Congratulations.. great job !!!

Dave, thank you very much for the kind words. I'm living in England until July, working on the Ireland project, and also this, a virtual tour of Wroxton Abbey, where I'm residing:

Do you think that Thomas will see my post here (requesting the larger button files)? Or do you think that I ought to email him directly?

BTW, I enjoyed looking at your Texas panos. Here's my site for Nevada:

Thanks,

Hi Howard,

Very professional website and Nevada panoramas. Those are some really big holes in the ground !!!!!

I see you are minimizing the tool buttons until mouse over. Thats good.. keeps them from blocking the view.

Looking at your Ireland work. Yes, you already have the 32 x 32 set at fullsize and are attempting to make them grow.. thus pixelation. Suggest you try to reduce the button set to say 75%.. then let the grow to full 100%. Same affect on mouse over.

Building new a new button set is really a pain. I know I have tried several times. You might consider finding the .zip download for the gray, red, green buttons.. then in photoshop [resize] grow them to say 45 x 45 pixels save them out as a new set of png -24... then in the pano2vr substitute or replace your current set with the new larger .pngs

You will find the .zip above called Metal 32x32.zip - try growing the folder "Gray"

I can not find the original 256x256 set but the buttons have been created with the Axialis IconWorkshop and some touch up in Photoshop.

I can´t figure this out. I select a readymade skin, save it with a new name, closes and opens it again, and voilá - and all the graphics are gone. Very frustrating. Are the skins write protected or am I doing something wrong?
Mac OSX 10.6.5. I have tried several P2V versions and several skins from different makers.

There may have been an issue with the P2V file I used to test the skins. Starting all over seemed to resolve the problem.
A lot of hours before I figured that one out...
