Independent control sensitivity

Is there a way to adjust the control sensitivity between rows independently of the control sensitivity between columns? I've 'virtualized' a fairly large object - using almost 130 pictures per row, but only three pictures per column (so three rows of ~130 pictures each). This leads to impossibly frantic control 'up and down' when sensitive enough for reasonable 'spin' control.

This is not possible at the moment but a nice idea. Please see Issue #1233
The example I give in the bug tracker not yours but the dev's should understand.
