Hello,
I want to use point hotspots in Objectr2VR and link a button to each point hotspot using hotspot templates.
Problem is that every hotspot template shows the same button, even when they have different ID's to link to hotspots.
I tried working around with area hotspots but they get misaligned with muli resolution in HTML5 output.
Does anyone know how to solve this or do we need to wait for 3.0 release?
thnx
Koen

If I am following you correctly, you want to add point hotspots that have custom images for the display of the hotspot. Please see this link http://zoom.photospherix.com/dewaltsamp ... ample.html
To do this, you have 2 things that you have to do.
1. Add point hotspots to the rotation and set their Skin-ID to unique names. ie trigger, case and chuck
2. In the template you add a point hotspot, with an ID that matches the skin-id from the hotspot window.
2b. Add an image into the hotspot in the template.
Bing Bang Boom, you have custom point hotspot art.

HI Koen,
Very neat and tidy, would of liked the point hotspots to be more visible, as you can turn them on and off I don't think making them more visible would intrude too much.
I like the animation but you could get Object2VR to make an animated SWF and then use Photoshop to make an animated GIF then externally load them in. As you open the popups they would then run the animations rather than have go click.
Just an idea otherwise good job.
Regards,
Hopki

Hi Hopki,
Thanks for the compliments.
I agree that the hotspots could be more visible (as you can turn them off to show the bike only)
Did not know it's possible to load animated GIF externally, and I would like popup animations to run when open
Going to try this in my next version..!
Thanks,
Koen

Hi Hopki,
I tried it with the external loading of animated GIF as you described. (V3.0 Beta3)
The GIF does not animate (loop) in the hotspot popup but only shows the first image of the GIF.
It does loop forever when I go directly to the location of the external GIF. http://www.studioplaat.nl/cp/vanmoof/gif/gif1.gif
Do you have any suggestion?
Tnx,
Koen

Hi Koen,
As said you need to use the external loader, then all works ok.
Place your GIF in the output folder then use an external loader in the skin with the URL pointing to the GIF.
No need for absolute URL's just the file name will do.
Regards,
Hopki

Oké thanks
I placed .gif file in root folder: http://www.studioplaat.nl/cp/vanmoof/72b/gif1.gif
Now it works fine in HTML5 but in Flash the .gif is still stuck on frame nr 1. (All browsers)
http://www.studioplaat.nl/cp/vanmoof/72b/
There is no extra action needed in 'external loading container' to start the .gif in Flash?

Hi,
GIF for HTML5 output, for Flash you will need a SWF file externally loaded.
You can make your own animation using Object2VR and output to SWF, then using the same input images use something like photoshop to create an animated GIF.
