I done that for some brands in Mexico but with a turn table and full production, but once playing I did one of my cars, creating a circle around it, marking points every 30 cm and my camera pointing at 0 in the tripod and a cord tied to the legs of it an always keeping the core and those legs over the line and went around it and came up fine, the more acuartele the better it looks yo might go every 15 cm or 20 for smoothness

You might cros lines at 10 degrees from side to side of the circle and your lens always pointing in the line direction

We have created an 11 foot radius track system that we use for non movable items. It has a little dolly that runs on the track and we can shoot at just about any stop amount that we want.

We just finished it up and had a project that we used it for a few Christmas trees that we could not shoot on the turntable at the clients location.

It is not the perfect answer, but it is "Almost" portable and it doesn't include drawing on the client's floors.
