It would be nice to be able to fill in the exact number of degrees the turntable has to go to to make a recapture. Now it is only possible to turn the table in high or in lowspeed and try to get it to stop at exactly the right point.

Hi,
Recapture or reshoot as its know already in the software.
Open Object2VR and the Capture Inout window.
Under Images (Preview, Images, Log) select with image you need to re capture then right button click on it.
You will see Reshoot as an one of the options.

Hopki

Is it possible to delete templatefiles that are not needed anymore? I don't see this option anywhere.

Hi,
Mac, Finder Go => Library (Hold Down Shift to see) => Application Support => GardenGnomeSoftware => Templates.
Open the Templates folder and remove the unwanted o2vr file.

Win, Open Object2VR.
Click File => settings => Files Tab
Right button click in skins directory then left click "show in explorer".
Go back a level to GardenGnomeSoftware and open the Templates directory then remove the unwanted o2vr file.

I know its not nice but this will be made easier later.

Hopki

It would be great if I could connect to the software with my Nikon D4 and WT-5 Wireless transmitter!

I tried to do it, but the software does not recognise the camera.

Hi,
If you can transfer the images to a folder, then you can use Watched Folder is Studio.

Hopki

The problem is that I cannot trigger the camera to fire if I use the watched folder option in the software.
I mean the turntable will work, but there is no way to trigger the camera automatically.

Hi ESmeets,
The watched folder option is for cameras that are not supported.
There are many low cost options to trigger your camera such as Triggertrap or even a shutter release with delay timer, heres one for a Sony on Amazon.

Hopki

Thanks Hopki,

I have exactly that shutter release you were referring to. However, it is very difficult to time the spinning of the table with the camera making pictures manually.
I can't seem to get it in sync. Having the camera being triggered by the software with the wireless transmitter would be much better!

Could it be possible to implement a black and white option in the image processing for objects that are only black or white. This would be an easy and fast way to get rid of any colour cast on the object.

Dear Garden Gnome,

I wish your software would allow for a Spritz like text box to be integrated in a panorama or object. It could function as a type of subtitle.
More details on Spritz you can find here http://www.spritzinc.com/.

Mihai

Hi Mihai,
I have added this to topics for our next meeting. It does look good and even from suffering from Dyslexia I had no problem with reading the text in the video, however the text in the video is quite large.

Hopki

Thank you, Hopki.

There are some other features on my wishlist.
-allow different images with different aspect ratios or dimensions to be rendered in one Object to work as image galleries (this could also support videos)
-timeline based slideshow for both Object2VR and Pano2VR (so you could to change P/T/fov, panorama, object, media, sound, etc in a certain order)
-insert other type of media, hosted both on public services or locally (flash and mp4 videos, photosynth, souncloud, playlists, websites, etc)
-allow scalable frames, as opposed to fixed dimmensions
-insert multiple panoramas in a custom layout in one page
-integrate content from dropbox, google drive or other cloud services (for example you could add a photo gallery from cloud, render and host panoramas from cloud, allow multiple users to edit projects)
-keyword search of media (xmp metadata support)
-html5 flat panoramas in Pano2VR
-Spritz reader

Basically I would like to have an app that would allow me to integrate and structure any type of content in a presentation.
Here is a test I did with Pano2VR http://www.tibanesti.org/
At the moment I find the current possibilities of the software very restrictive, as the content is getting much more diverse.

Best,
Mihai

It would also be nice to have a time frame for future releases.
The client I am working with at the moment needs relative size iframes and "snap" function on flat html5 panoramas. The project is made out of more than 80 panoramas, hundreds of pictures and videos. As things look like at the moment I will have to turn the client down as Pano2VR and Object2VR together are not enough to make the project run.
Is there a way to know when and what features will be available?
The top thing on the wishlist is predictability.
Thank you.
Mihai
