Continuing my efforts I have found.. or think I have found that:
Two buttons can not have the same function.
Example: Buttons and functions already assigned and placed in a existing controller like the "Down Arrow - Tilt Down" can not have another 'down arrow button' assigned "tilt down" in the same skin.
Button graphics in the Edit box when selected and dragged across to the Tree Box will slide off screen out of view. Edit box does not appear to have a restricting 'Bounded border zone'. Solution is to delete the button from the Tree Box and Add it back again to the Edit box. This time keep your buttons inside the Edit viewing area box.
I suspect the only way to get 3 [or multiple] mouse over buttons in 1 row is do attempt to drag - drop stack them only in the Tree Box. Have I been successful ? No.. they either slide up and become a parent in a position above... of they become a child button.
