Garden Gnome Software

Dear all.

I had several skin that I used to use them. today I opened pano2vr to find that I have only the default skin.

I searched my hard drive for *.ggsk but found nothing.

I checked my skin directory: "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\GardenGnomeSoftware\Skins" but I found only the default one.

Any idea where I can find my skins. it is impossible to disappear, they should be somewhere. very catastrophe if I lost them I spent lot of time tweaking them.

That was a good idea searching your C:// hard drive.
You probably already searched your external backup hard drive.... IF you have one.

I am asking to know what cause this problem? could be the antivirus? I checked also the quarantine the recycle bin.
Very strange !!! I am very upset

I installed data recovery and I found 2 of my skins, I felt happy, at least only one missing.
but when I recovered them, they didn't work. it says "unexpected end of file, line 1 column 1"
My skins were in the same place of default skins. but now it is showing in unknown folder
all other skins recovered completely except mine : (

It appears that you may have issue with a virus that your anti virus software missed or allowed to pass.

if virus name is not in quarantine list maybe the virus is still be on your computer.
Suggest that you might locate help to clean your hard drive.

We use a USB3 Western Digital external 3 terabyte hard drive for all work in progress, raw images and Photoshop created files.
In a few months we will install a Western Digital 4tb network Cloud hard drive for backing up 2 workstation network computers.

Only programs that can be reinstalled from disk are on the C:/ drive

Good news... I just found that I can still use the old file "skin.js" but it is not editable. No problem for me since it is complete. I only need to upload it along with my html or swf files.
The 2nd good news is that I have already created a new skin with a totally new design which I will share it soon, it needs only some retouches.
