Thank you.

It works fine with the flv files, but when I try to load the mp4 files it wants to convert them to flv again. not sure how to get around this?

also I might add that the mp4 format isn't in the video format list. I can open it when I select 'all files' and go through your instructions after but then it starts to convert it to flv

Assuming that I can't do this in CS3 then :-(

Hi Pete,
This only means you have to have a separate MP4 for HTML5.
Not really a big deal, just means you need that little more hosting space.

Going back to the original demo you posted, this still points to a .swf file and not a .mp4 ? It's the .swf that's the problem.

Just out of interest, how long will it be before version 4 comes out, when it does will I just be able to import the video file and the software does everything else for me?

Cheers,

Pete

Hi Hopki, are there any other formats other than ogg that can be used for html5 playback? and do you have any idea when pano2vr v4 might come out with this video feature built in?

Cheers,

Peter

HI Pete,
The file format is dependent on the Browser.

Safari = MP3 and WAV
Firefox = Ogg and WAV
Chrome = Ogg and MP3
IE9 supports MP3 and WAV, so I would imagine IE10 which is reported to support Css3D will also support the same.

As time goes on this may also change.

Pano2VR V4.x has an estimated due date of late July early August, but don't hold us to that because along the way other cool things are being added so we are not going to rush.

Hopki

Can pano2VR V4 do popup video via a hotspot. I've just downloaded it and have a video running via the Media function but can only get it to run embedded into the image rather than a popup? I'm still playing around with it, hopefully will work it out in a min.

Hi Pete,
Not as yet, I have talked with Thomas about this but to confirm this I have added it to the bug tracker, please see Issue #523
For the moment popup video will be the same as version 3.
