Hello guys!
I have asked a friend of mine to make some flash swf snowflakes to put on some winter panoramas. When I insert the swf to the skin, no matter where I place it, it kills the mouse, not allowing me to turn the panorama.

TEST

If I put it in one corner and put the align sign on the other side, so the flash is visible/centred, it also blocks the mouse, tried lowering the opacity, again.
My friend told me he made the snowflakes mouse "invisible" but still it doesn't work?
Ant suggestion on how to make such a winter skin will be much appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!

Best, G
p.s. you can still move the panorama with the keyboard keys but very few people do that...

From the snow flake .swf behavior it appears it sits in the editor tree above the last mouse action.
Parts of the toolbar buttons work like the zoom in/out function properly. Autorotate button does not work either.

Check your list of toolbar button entries and see if the snowflake.swf is mixed in between the toolbar button actions.
Or maybe the snowflake.swf is a child entry in the toolbar container

Remember that most front layer in tree is at BOTTOM of list.
Which for me is just opposite I would have thought that the tree stack.. highest on top layer entry would be on top of list.

If you would please do a screen capture of the skin editor tree entries. Maybe after we see the tree order we might get a clue.

I keep looking for accumulated snow drifts on the ground.

thank you for the prompt reply Dave!
snowflakes.swf is the TOP/first item in the list so everything else should be above it, az the buttons and they are. The swf is not in container, just the swf...

This part I am missing something. Anyway, here is the picture:

Have to find a workaround... before summer comes :D
Thanks again for the tips, happy holidays!
If someone else has some proposals I am all ears! Thanks in advance!

While continuing to evaluate this issue, I contacted Chief Gnome Martin.

Ahhhh, the external element is covering the window, just like putting a rectangle in the skin the same size as the window.
There is a way you can make SWF non active, lens flares etc use this technique,
but I am not sure how to do this, I will have investigate.

You might check how to work with Lens Flares - if they have one lesson in the tutorial list. OR do a forum search for 'Lens Flare'.

Happy New Year! The other way is doing it by a flash programmer outside Pano2VR :)
