Hi

I would like to alter the behavior and design of area hotspots.

Is it possible to change the text box, its size and position of
area hotspots? Which are the calls for its components inside
the skin editor? Or is it only adapted from QTVR without any
altering posibilities in skin editor?

Best regards

Hi Peter
Please see: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Flo ... h_Hotspots
There are many answers to questions that can be found by looking at the User Guides, Tips and Knowledge base documents.

For changing/editing an area hotspot, just enter the hotspot editor, click the area hotspot tab and select the hotspot you wish to change by using the drop down box to the left, labelled ID.
All active areas for that hotspot will be in RED, click the tool on the right, Erase, this will change the colour of the active area to indicated Erase Mode. With this selected click the Draw Rectangle tool and drag a rectangle over the active areas. This will delete the area, when you are ready to draw in a new area hotspot click the Erase button to turn it off. All drawings will now be active areas and will be in RED.

Hi Martin
Thank you for the explanations. I know how to alter the shape of area
hotspots and all the things that can be done in the hotspoteditor.

But how can I call all area hotspots without point hotspots to make
some visual changes (design and positionof textfield) to area hotspots
from the skin editor? Area hotspots have numbers as ID's. Is there a
wild card for area hotspots?

Is it possible to show a textfield when hovering over an area hotspot?
This textfield should stick to specific position in the panorama and not
to the viewer window.

Hi all

I don't get it. I've tried every single setting but I always get two textfields
that pop up when hovering the area hotspot. I used the original skin called
floating tooltip working with hotspots.ggsk but nothing changes.
What do I do the wrong way or is there a hidden setting that desables one
textfield? In the tutorial movie everything works as expected. I have
created the files exactly as shown on the movie three times.......no way
to get it running the right way

The files are attached as a zip archive.

Need help urgently as the project should have been delivered since one
week ago :-(

Best regards

Peter

Hello Peter, I'm just starting/learning Pano2VR, I tried the above but was unable to make it work with area hotspots. It's not too hard with point hotspots though.
Note, you must have all elements in the skin tree in the same order I have it or it doesn't work... You can see how I did it here:

Hi
To turn off system hotspot text box, go to Advanced setting and uncheck the tick box.

@Peter
The only way to do this would be to add a point hotspot with a text box, they would then show the text simultaneously at every point. You can then either have an invisible rectangle with the point hotspot or add area hotspots. I would go for adding a rectangle and setting alpha to 0.005, it will be still active but will not be seen in the panorama.

Hi Martin

Thank you very much, that was the key.
I thought of point hotspots with a bigger
invisible element. Will try it out which
will work better.

Best regards
