Hi Thomas
I know you’re busy, but I would really like to see a button in the skin to turn a rectangle, image element into a button element. This would be very handy for window/menu open/close. At the moment I use Photoshop to make a jpg, and then make it transparent. Having the ability to draw a rectangle and have it as a button element would cut down the extra work.

No rush as I can do what I want already, but it would be handy to be able to do it all in skin editor, work flow etc.

Keep up the good work.
Hopki :)

I thought you could use rectangles just by adding mouse click parameters. Unless you mean to get the cursor change too.

Hi,
Yes quite right, I thought I was clear when I said turn the rectangle from an image element to a button element, I am after the cursor. There are lots of instances where a transparent button is used, at the moment you have to make the element externally then import it as a button. This is time consuming and you have limited control over size, with only scaling as an option which is no good when real time designing in the skin editor.

Kind regards

Hopki :)

I thought I would add to this, Here is a skin made using the rectangle tool and the text box in the skin editor. However I had to use two jpgs and import them in as buttons, gave them an alpha of .005, so they are still active just so I could get the hand symbol. The skin is only 3KB, but would have been much smaller if I did not have to have jpgs.

How cool would it be if there was an oval tool to draw with too.
Regards
Hopki :)
