Loaded / Reload

Hi!
I´ve created a tour with almost 18 panoramas. I included the default loading bar, (the most simplest one) and set the actions to "Loaded - hide element" and "Reload - show element", so that it will show up for each pano that opens and each time it opens, not just for the first pano that opens the tour and contains the skin. I also included an instruction window that I also wanted to open, but only at the beginning of the tour. Therefore I set the action "loaded - change element alpha - O". I did not set it to reload, because that is not want I want nor needed. If the visitor want to read the instructions again, there is a button to open the window.
Now the problem is that it also shows up in each pano that opens for the first time. That means that in each pano the visitor opens for the first time, the loading bar shows up (that´s correct and wanted) as well as the instruction window (that´s something I don´t need nor wanted).
Why is that happening and what is the wrong setting?
Any help?

Here you can see it:

Thanks, Martin

Hi
Looks like you have a “Loaded” “Change Element Alpha to 1” not to 0”
So every time it loads, its setting it to 1.

Set your Help Page to Visible and Alpha 1
Then set Loaded, Set element Alpha to 0 $self.

That should work

Hi, Hopki!
Thanks. I was almost sure that you would help me. I understand what you mean, but I want the instruction window to open once the first pano and its skin is loaded, not before and that the viewer could close it then, clicking on it once he/she read it. That´s why I set the window to visible and alpha 0 and then the action first to "loaded change element alpha to 1" and when clicking on it, "change element alpha to 0" again as its original state.
As you can observe in the tour, this issue happens only the first time you open each panorama, not the second or next ones. Maybe changing the action to show and hide element respectively will make it work, but I like the fade in and out action.
The difference between load and reload action isn´t that it loads only the first time and first pano?
BTW, thanks for your newsletters.

Regards, Martin

Hi Martin

Sorry did not understand, let my try again,

If you had a copy of the help page say help 1 and help 2 you can do it.

Set help 1 to alpha 1 and not visible.
Set help 2 to alpha 0 and visible.

Now in help 2 set the following actions:
loaded change alpha 1 $self.
Mouse click hide $self
Mouse click show help 1
Mouse click change alpha 0 help 1.

Then you only need to have the help page button have a toggle alpha 1 target: help1.

What is going to happen is when loaded page 2 will fade in. When you close it it will hide and be replaced with help 1 which will fade out.

As the loaded action is only for page 2 and that is now hidden it will not be seen any more.
The help page open/close button is now for page1.

That should do it

Kind regards
Hopki :)

PS regarding news letter, I made a big mistake, most of my customers are not English so I can not understand if they do not want to get new product notifications or not.

So I am going to stop them, however I will add to my web page that if you want to be on a list then tell me and I will send them then.

Hi, Hopki!
Thanks for your help! Great! :D
It works. Interesting the workaround. That tells us that there is almost always a way to solve issues that seem impossible to be solved. Sometimes it is not so easy. I had to read it more then once, before I understood it  (shame)
I had to copy also the screentint and apply similar actions to it as with the help window.
The only problem that remains is that when you click on the help window to close it and by accident click double before the help windows fades out the "toggle rotate" action gets confused and reversed its function. But I think that is not so important.
Link is updated.
Thanks again
Martin

PS: I solved the rotate issue, replacing the toogle action with stop/start action.

Fuzzy logic

Three men get a room, each pay €10.00 as the room is €30.00
After the men have gone, the parson letting the room remembers that the room is only €25.00.

So he sends the bell boy to give them back €5.00.
The boy thinks to himself, because there are three men he will give them €1.00 each and keep €2.00.

That means that the men have paid €9.00 each. OK
The bell boy has €2.00. OK

So 3 x €9.00 = €27.00, the bell boy has €2.00 that’s €29.00 where’s the €1.00 gone?

Skins are easy

Easy.

The men paid 9 each.
The boy kept 2more.

Finally the PAID amound was 27 there was never a 30 or a 29.

The sum of the moving money is 30 at start.
The men finally got back 3 that makes the final money moved 27.

You cannot add the 27 they finally paid to the 2 that the boy kept as these 2 are INSIDE the 27.

So 30=30, 29=29, 27=27.

Hi Sicader
People get stuck on there being 30, not the correct amount. Its all part of thinking in a different way, bit like the skins, sometimes you need to look at a problem from a different angle.

That’s the idea of that little puzzle; it’s to get you thinking.

Just a bit of fun
Hopki :D
