Error: unexpected end of file Line 1, Column 1

I amhaving a problem with a skin that i hope to customise a bit, i understand that ggsk files are actually zip files
but strange enough i am experiencing a similiar problem our german counter parts are experiencing over in the german forums.
i get this error

Error: unexpected end of file
Line 1, Column 1

how do i solve this?

im using a mac osx 10.4.11
tried zip in terminal, as well as the create archive
both doesnt seem to work.
please help

have actually tried a few other methods, tar.gz and tar in terminal,
.in the pass few hours, all of which does not solve the problem.

The problem happens when you are using a zip program that doesn't include the file size in the zip file index because then my (self coded...) zip file parser can not find the .xml file and this error appears. Try use an other ZIP compressor to create your file like 7-Zip for Windows or the "zip" command line tool on the Mac. The standard "Archive" tool on the Mac creates a zip file without a complete index.

ive tried zip command on terminal in the mac too, that did not solve the problem.
im still getting the same error.
