Thanks to Martin (Hopki) for invaluable advice on 'calling external images'...
The SWF file on this pano is only 1.5Mb so loads quickly - but each of the 6 hotspot images are around 400kb each - which would take too long if loaded within the skin. The time-consuming part is having all the other hotspots hide when you click on one - stops any flickering conflicts.
What do you think?:

(oh, on my 2 machines I get a slight flicker when each image loads in Firefox 3.0.10 (but not in I.E. 7.0.6001). i.e. - click a hotspot, the image appears for brief second, disappears for a brief second, and then reappears permanently - anyone else experience this...?)
Have a good May Bank Holiday!
cheers
Stu

Checked out in Firefox 3.0.10, works great for me, the pano initially loads slower in IE but works when loaded.

Hi Stu
Cool Pano
Think about moving the hotspot on the very left up a little, and the next one on the right down a tad, so the Hotspot text is not covered.
You could also try using a static text box to display the images, Picture this
Click on an information Hotspot.
The pano tints a little and the picture is displayed in the middle of the screen, the pano can not be moved until the Image disappears by clicking on it, at the same time the pano brightens up and can be moved once more.

Yes- this load quick !
Hopki: I tried to import JPGs - but they didn´t load.
Is there a "trick" to load them ? (Size, format, compression ....)
Changed to PNG though - but want to know for future use.

Yes Hopki : when I import them throug the menu "Import Image" it works.
But DragNDrop : nothing, not even a MessageBox opens.
Maybe it´s an issue ov V 2.2.3 - I have no idea.
Same image can be imported via menu -but not via DragNDrop.
I am new - only working with Pano2VR for 1 day by now, so it may be due to my NOTunderstanding something.

Hi
You are quite right so I use the Import Image. I think there may be support for other file formats later, but until then its use the import image button for any other files than png’s.

One can live with that by now.
But when I DragNDrop images into the editor (source is WinCommander, Explorer,ACDSEE ...) the system feels like hanging- it´s not though.
The editor opens a window and asks what kind of image I want to import.
As long as this message box is open - I can not acces any other program - weird.
I have to go th th editor (on the task bar), click on "Pano2VR", answer whatever I want - then the system conrinues as usual.
System: Windows XP Pro SP2, AMD X2 6400 3 GB RAM 4 * 500 GB harddrive with plenty of free space, so it´s not a resource issue.
