Update old tour with new Pano2VR 2.2 skin features: :D

Tool tips using Alpha 0 for fade in effect, Settings used: Element Settings: Not visible, Alpha to 0.
Button Settings: “Change Element Alpha”, on mouse over, “Set Element Alpha” on mouse leave. Reason for using “Set Element Alpha” and not “Change Element Alpha” on mouse leave is because it takes to long before the tool tip fades out.

Tool tip fades out on button click, setting used in Button Actions: “Pressed” “Change Element Alpha” to “0”.

Point Hotspot text fades in on muse enter and disappears on mouse leave.
Setting used: Text box set to Not visible and Alpha 0.
“Mouse Enter” “Change Element Alpha” to “.9”.
“Mouse Leave” “Set Element Alpha” to “0”

I got around the element visibility problem by putting all the elements I wanted to set the Alpha of in a container then setting the container to the required Alpha as described below.

Settings for the Tool Tips:
Set all the tool tip elements to Alpha 0 and NOT visible.
The Container around the tool tip text boxes is set to Visible and Alpha 1.
Button Actions, “Mouse Enter”, “Change Element Alpha” to .8. “Mouse Leave”, “Set Element Alpha” to “0”.

Settings for the Information, Help page and Floor Plan:
Place a container around all the elements, then set to Visible, then set the Alpha, in this case .9.
Set the elements to Not visible and Alpha 1.
Button Actions: “Mouse Click” “Toggle Element Visibility”, info, help page, floor plan etc.

You can see this all working Here.

All the best

Hi all
Please note that with the new and most welcome changes in the skin behaviour the above setting will no longer work properly.

There is no need for using containers any more :D as you can change the alpha of an element between the settings of .6 to .9 with the visibility unchecked and it stays invisible. :D

Thank you Thomas as already said this is most welcome. :D

Oh that's great to hear! Everything regarding alpha and visibility works like it did with v2.2 beta4 then?
Haven't tried it yet, busy busy busy : )

Thanks Thomas!

Hi Hopki,
Congratulations, what a nice skin! I love your buttons with the mouve over effect, really cool. How did you manage to do that? You really are a skin master!
I have a quick question, actually more related to hotspots rather than skins. I've noticed that when clicking on a hotspot within your tour that the loading bar reappear. How did you manage to do so? It doesn't work in my latest tour (http://www.immersium.fr/blog/2009/01/15/telemark/), when clicking on a hotspot (that calls the corresponding swf) the next pano loads but without any loading bar.
Cheers from France,
Thomas

Hi Thomas
Thanks for the heads up :D

To make the load bar appear in every pano add “Reload - Show Element - Self” to the load bar image.
So it should look like this:

Loaded – Hide Element – Self
Reload – Show Element – Self

Have a quick look at your website, Cool, 8) I see you have mastered inserting swf files, what I would do now is import an image as a button object about the same size and place it over the swf. Set the button object image to Alpha 0 and use that to open the next pano instead of the text object. This will make you pointer turn into the hand so prompting the viewer that they can click on it.

You might like This.

Hi Hopki,
Thanks for your answer and the tip. Will try that!
Your Falaise Pocket Museum tour is also really nice. Where is it?
Cheers, Thomas
