Hi,
Is it possible to change a Node Image Elements image via variables? I am assuming no because I guess the skin generates the image at output? If anyone has clarification i'd be glad to hear your feedback.

What is it you want to do as there are a few things you can do with the external loader, but using a cloner to generate the images.
