Hi,
I'm implementing a project in 6.0.4 using Google Maps but when I view the project the map isn't displaying the Map/Satellite buttons as shown in the tutorial video 'Adding Google Maps Introduction'.
Any tips/hints to get them to show?

Yes, this seems to be what Google is doing.
You can, of course, add your own buttons to change maps and add zoom.
