3D Arrow Hotspots in 6.4

Really like the floating 3D arrow hotspots in the newest release. However, I want to adjust them so that they're "pinned" to the bottom of the screen, i.e. so the user can't get beneath them and look upwards at the bottom as here:
Is it possible to customize them that way?
Additionally, is there a way to make the node images pop up so that they're always facing the user, even if it's not in 3D? I don't want the text to read backwards like it does here:
