Hello ... I am using version 5.02 and Google Maps is not working with Safari or Chrome. Is there a resolution for this issue?

Hi Russ,
Have you entered your Google Maps API?
Please see this page and Google API Key.

Yes I have entered the API key several times using recreated keys with the same result. On occasion the Google Map appeared for .5 seconds and the error page appears. Normally it is only the error page.

Just added a map with my key and all working.
Check that your key works with the domain.

Hi Russ,
It still sounds like there is a problem with the key or internet connection.
I take it if you open the skin using the skin editor Live Preview, you see the map?

If so then our API is working and then displays the map in the live preview.
Also try opening the HTML page in the output folder with Firefox.

Do you see your Map?
Let me know.

Hopki

Hi Hopki

I agree it is a key issue. I used your documentation to get a API key which lead me to https://developers.google.com/maps/docu ... et-api-key. I used GETAPI and it provided the key and everything started working. Great!

This is what I was doing.

The first time I used a key the maps worked for awhile and stopped. So I must have done something and went looking for a new key. I ended up at https://console.developers.google.com. No idea what the difference is between the two url's. When you try to create a API key here you are taken a Google API Manager page. The page has three tabs Dashboard,Library and Credentials.

Library contains a large list of API that can be enabled. Things like Google Maps Roads are there but nothing simple like Google Maps.

Credentials allowed me to Create a Project Name, Select HTTP Server for use with a website and set a referrer (my website). Great and I was given a API Key that would not work.

Dashboard was empty I believe because I had not enabled anything in the Library.

It would be great if you could let me know why this method will not provide a usable API key..

Regards Russ
