Over/Under (Pano2VR+Flash-AS3)
Here's a prototype of yet another possible use for a Flash/ActionScript3 preloader: showing two panoramas in one single window, with both panos moving in sync. Good for showing before/after situations I think. http://tinyurl.com/P2VR-Stack-of-Two-overunder When it opens you can move the top pano, an...

Re: 2 panoramas side by side though...as as orientation
I looks like we both have a problem with names
You did give me an idea though, doing a linked side-by-side (or over-under) set of panos.
A simultaneous 'before-and-after' view in one single window. Should be possible.
Thanks for that!
Cheers!

What is an "aerial pano"?
A panorama made from an aeroplane or something?
Can't tell if you (or I for that matter) can make it if I don't know what you mean by that.

Re: Any way to make a "before & after" effect with Pano2VR?
Hi Tom, If you make those panos again, but this time using Pano2VR v2.3 beta4 or newer, I can make you a small Flash file that will make your panos do what you want: switch from one pano to the other and back, at any time, and in any direction the visitor wants to, without re-downloading the panos e...

Re: Any way to make a "before & after" effect with Pano2VR?
In fact it IS possible to do this now with Pano2VR Flash10 panoramas, but only in combination with an external Flash/AS3 preloader. I can make such a preloader for you to try out the effect, but only if you make your panoramas using Pano2VR v2.3 beta4 or higher. However it looks like the panos you l...

Re: Swapping cube faces using Flash/ActionScript3
Thanks for checking it out guys! I'm sooooooo glad it worked! Like I said in the PanoToolsNG list: Imagine swapping cubefaces like this at a rate of 24 to 30 faces per second; you could animate individual cube faces then! Again: think of the possibilities! Here is a link to a LARGE version, by click...

Swapping cube faces using Flash/ActionScript3
Hi all, I'm still working to expand my little Pano2VR/ActionScript box of tricks; this time it is swapping cube faces 'on the fly'. I would (again) very much appreciate if some of you were kind enough to check out this monument in Barcelona doing a disappearing act....if all works well, that is : ) ...

Re: Transparency in cube faces?
I tried wmode="transparent" and <param name="wmode" value="transparent">, but, as I expected, that didn't do anything. I guessed it wouldn't because I have light grey as background colour in my embedding code, not white. Besides, I don't want the HTML-background to be v...

Transparency in cube faces?
Hi all, I've now learned how to replace cube faces using AS3 code, and I know how to stack panos on top of each other, so now I want to make 'see through' windows. For this I've made a replacement cubeface with a transparent area in Photoshop, and I've saved it as PNG24 with an alpha channel. Then I...

Re: Horizon Bending going into viewer
1. Are you making 360 degree horizontal x the full 180 degree vertical FoV panoramas in equirectangular projection? 2. Are your images exactly twice as wide as they are high? Only if your source images comply with these requirements will they be shown properly (= 'unbent') in any spherical (or cubic...

Re: What is most wanted?
every other panorama viewer on the market does it without too much of a problem. Tourweaver has had multiple options to choose from for years and I'm sure the other bigs guns also. Not to mention every Flash slideshow complier known to man. I have no experience with Tourweaver, so I'm just guessing...

Re: What is most wanted?
About those cross fade transitions: Simultaneously fading one pano out while fading another in is quite a heavy task for the viewer's computer. It could even be too much for mobile devices and cheap laptops! Here are some test versions I made to see if it would work: A group of three small panos htt...

Re: Stack of Two - (AS3 Preloader experiment)
Just uploaded a 'Stack of Three', and it appears to work well too.
The selection buttons sometimes hang, but I'm sure that can be sorted out.

Re: Stack of Two - (AS3 Preloader experiment)
Thanks again Robert, On my PC I had to set a ridiculously short delay interval to get a reasonable fading time, so apparently it is a performance-sensitive mechanism in spite of the timer. That's a pity. I'll increase the interval (in milliseconds), hopefully it will be possible to find value that's...
