Re: VR and general web users
SRibas: While I suspect the JavaScript API will give you the best overall control of your panoramas, there is another approach for having text-based hot links reposition a panorama’s point of view. A company called Esri has a set of tools that can be used to produce what they call “Story Maps”, whic...

Re: VR and general web users
If you aren't already familiar with it, this link on "direct node access" describes how to access an individual tour node using an external hyperlink: https://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/beta/dna/ Full control over the pan, tilt, fov, and projection is supported. This should let you link direct...

Re: WebVR
No problem. I have been enjoying the beta tremendously. It's a real kick being able to view pano2vr tours on the Rift now. You and your team do great work!

Re: WebVR
Can you say if support for URL-based hotspots in VR mode is on the radar? As far as I can tell, the current beta only supports VR hotspots that go to nodes within the current tour. I'm hoping that the final release will allow access to multiple tours (through their URLs) without leaving VR mode. Tha...

Edgar: Did you see the WebVR information in the 6.1 Beta announcement? https://ggnome.com/blog/pano2vr-603-and-61-beta-released It mentions specific skins that include and support the "Enter VR" button. There is also a WebVR tutorial video here: https://ggnome.com/blog/pano2vr-604-and-61-b...

Re: "Architecture for people with disabilities" (Manual)
This is an interesting presentation that conveys a wealth of information to the viewer. Very nicely done! I hope you will consider doing an English language version at some point. There appeared to be a problem with one of the hot links though. In the initial view in the main hall, there is a long c...

Re: Multispeciality Hospitals Virtual Reality India
Good tour that provides a lot of information about the facility. I found it easy to get lost in all the corridors though. I think adding a floor plan (as supported in version 6) would make it much easier to navigate. Also, I saw one white board that seemed to list the names of a couple of patients. ...

Ferguson Fire Maps in Object2VR
Here’s something that may be a little different use of Object2VR, namely animating a sequence of maps to show the progression of the recent Ferguson fire near Yosemite National Park: https://lookabout.net/fire/ferguson/progression It will cycle through automatically unless you turn that off with the...

Re: Preferred panoramic equipment
I’m afraid my approach to shooting panos is not very well suited to “action” situations but I do like the results I get in calmer environments. I use an Olympus Pen-F camera, a 12mm f2 M.Zuiko lens (24 mm equivalent), a Nodal Ninja 3 with a Mk II rotator, and a Gitzo GT0531 tripod. The whole rig, in...

Re: Some panorama collections
Over the last year I have been plugging away adding content to my presentation on my home town, Redlands, California: http://lookabout.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/?appid=aad9e180821347c99ea5fa6f85c3bf03 I think it has finally become a reasonable example of what can be done with Pano2VR Pro and Esri...

Re: 5 August 2016 Upgraded Gear VR Head Mounted Display
Interesting. There are some nice new features on this new model, including a Home button, volume control buttons, and USB port. On August 4th, they also released a new version 4.2 of their browser, "Samsung Internet for Gear VR": http://developer.samsung.com/resources/samsung-internet Not ...

In version 5 Pro, you can find the "Direct Node Access" checkbox by going to the HTML settings and then clicking on the "wrench and screwdriver" icon to the right of the Template selection box.
