Problem starting a sound event
In a current "work in progress", a steam narrowboat , I have sound events that can be triggered from two locations. Both use the same hotspot ID and skin ID, trigger the same skin marker, and should behave in exactly the same way. But they don't: If you go to the Engine Room, there's a bel...

Re-using images in the skin editor
Sometimes I want to use exactly the same image more than once in the skin editor. Is there a way to define it once, and to reference that one instance at other places, instead of adding exactly the same several times? I'd like to have only one instance to avoid exporting duplicate images, and to be ...

What's the difference between "Mouse click" and "Pressed"?
In the V5 skin editor, in the action settings, I can select "Mouse Click" and "Pressed".
What's the difference between the two, and when should I use the one or the other?
Thanks!
Harald

Fixed size filmstrip cloner
How do you position a fixed size filmstrip to be horizontally centered? If my player width is smaller than the width of all thumbnails, I use a scrollable filmstrip, and use a percentage to center it - that works great. If my player width is larger, I use a fixed size filmstrip. That works as well, ...

Re: Is Microsoft Edge as bad as Internet Explorer?
Indeed.I tried the examples in Edge after a clean install of Windows 10: Layer Marney Tower seems to work fine Simple Panorama - mouse doesn't seem to work at all, keyboard (arrow keys) do work Virtual Tour - same Synagoge - same Sound - same My own work seem to work well. The problems I had when I ...

Re: Is Microsoft Edge as bad as Internet Explorer?
The new browser is indeed called Edge.
You can download Win10 now via this installer. I was impressed by the huge number of options I had to uncheck, but once it's up and running, Win10 looks good to me!

Is Microsoft Edge as bad as Internet Explorer?
Just installed Windows 10 on a test machine, and tried a few panoramas with Edge - the hotspot text seems to have quite a large offset from here it should be (and is on other browsers). What's your experience? Will Edge be supported, or is it seen as just another incarnation of bad old Explorer? Tha...

Re: V5 and hotspots in fullscreen mode
Hi Hopki, Thanks! My Windows 8.1 x64 is up to date as of today, I updated the graphics driver, restarted, and the problem is still the same. I tried the same on a Win 8.1 notebook, where the problem doesn't show at all. This issue does not happen with any of my V4 panoramas, it's specific to V5. I c...

Re: V5 and hotspots in fullscreen mode
Hi Tony, Thanks for looking! On Windows the popups don't show at all in full screen mode - maybe they are at an offset that's off the screen? All is well when I size the window to "almost" full screen size, but the switch to fullscreen seems to change something quite significantly. The fil...

Re: V5 polygon hotspots
Hi Hopki, Thanks for having a look! The issue isn't limited to the start screen, it can happen at any time, but that's much more difficult to reproduce. It happens (unfortunately not all the time!) when you move the cursor over the client's logo at the bottom of the screen, and goes away when you hi...

Re: V5 polygon hotspots
Hi Hopki, Your suggested solution works a treat, I might use it to update exiting panoramas as well. At the moment I fail to find the cause of a small issue probably related to that solution: "Ghost" hotspot text popups - empty hotspot text showing up. It seems to be reproducible: Open thi...

V5 and hotspots in fullscreen mode
In V4, it didn't make any difference if a panorama was in a window, or in full screen mode, a hotspot text would be shown on mouseover. I just found there there might be a difference with the version 5 beta - there seems to be no hotspot text when in fullscreen! Please have a look at this virtual to...

Re: V5 polygon hotspots
Hi Hopki, That works brilliantly, thank you very much! Do you know a trick to achieve this with hotspots? In various virtual tours I have the identical hotspot texts in several panoramas, for something that can be seen from more than one panorama. Of course it's very unpleasant if you have to mainta...

V5 polygon hotspots
There are brilliant new features in the V5 beta, hotspots can now have a title and a description, and make formatting a hotspot really easy and convenient. A hotspot text definition like $hs
$hd will display as My Hotspot Title My hotspot description, which could b...

V5 bug or feature?
Variables in V5 are absolutely wonderful, I love them! But I ran into a slightly odd issue: I'm using a variable to switch between two texts I display: If myVariable == true then display "MyDefaultText" else display "$ut" (that's the user data title). I'm using this in a virtual ...
